Welcome to Fairfield Middle
I am elated to welcome you back to the 2021-2022 school year. We have been through some trying times over the past year and a half, and we have had to make many adjustments to be successful in our endeavors. Together, we have been able to navigate through the struggle, and we have done so safely, and with a sense of PRIDE! I thank you for your commitment to ensuring that a partnership between home and the school, remains intact, during the unprecedented times that we continue to face. You are appreciated!
At Fairfield Middle School, we committed to going above and beyond to ensure that our students will be in a safe and secure environment that is conducive for learning. As Proud Principal of Fairfield Middle School, I am honored to return to lead the BEST MIDDLE SCHOOL in the state of South Carolina. The Fairfield County School District is a school system dedicated to excellence, and more importantly, to children. Over the past 20 years, I have worked as a teacher, school counselor, coach, assistant principal, and principal. I truly love what I do, as I consider my most important job to be that of an advocate for children.
The faculty and staff of Fairfield Middle School will spend a lot of time with your children, getting to know their personalities, learning styles and interests. It is very normal for middle school students to experience social and academic challenges. They will form new friendships, adjust to new schedules, discover new interests and strengths, and receive the support they need to excel. Our teachers and staff are ready to assist you children in any way possible during their transition.
Our mission is to prepare students socially, emotionally, and academically for high school. We seek to accomplish this mission by following the high expectations set forth by our academic and behavioral expectations of Griffin PRIDE - Personal responsibility, Respect, Individual Readiness, Demonstrated learning, and Effective Behaviors.
Our team is committed to providing a safe, supportive learning environment and quality, standards-based instruction to ensure an excellent educational experience for all students. Together, we will celebrate their successes, both small and large. I will encourage them every day and let them know they are valued and have a special place in our school.
We begin this school year anticipating great results for students socially, emotionally, and academically. We welcome both our new Griffins and those Griffins returning this school year.
With Griffin PRIDE,
Jamie R. Brunson
