Welcome to Fairfield Middle

Dear Griffins,

My name is Jamie R. Brunson, and it is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new principal of Fairfield Middle School. I am honored to have been selected to be principal in Fairfield County School District, a school system dedicated to excellence, and more importantly, to children. Over the past 18 years, I have worked as a teacher, school counselor, coach and administrator, but I consider my most important job to be that of an advocate for children.

The faculty and staff of Fairfield Middle School will spend a lot of time with your children, getting to know their personalities, learning styles and interests. Our mission is to prepare students socially, emotionally, and academically for high school. We seek to accomplish this mission by following the high expectations set forth by our academic and behavioral expectations of Griffin PRIDE - Personal responsibility, Respect, Individual readiness, Demonstrated learning, and Effective behaviors.

Our team is committed to providing a safe, supportive learning environment and quality, standards-based instruction to ensure an excellent educational experience for all students. Together, we will celebrate their successes, both small and large. I will encourage them every day and let them know they are valued and have a special place in our school.

We begin this school year anticipating great results for students socially, emotionally, and
academically. We welcome both our new Griffins and those Griffins returning this school
year. Please browse the links provided for further information regarding our school and district,
and if additional information is needed, feel free to contact the school at (803) 635-4270 or
emailing any staff member directly.

With Griffin PRIDE,
Jamie R. Brunson, Proud Principal
